Kojo Brown

At PeopleDem property we believe in celebrating our community by spotlighting black excellence in property. Today we are celebrating Kojo Brown.

Kojo is the founder and CEO of KBR Global Properties. A property developer, investor, and entrepreneur, he has built a strong presence in the real estate space. Kojo also runs a serviced accommodation business in Ghana while steadily growing his investment portfolio.

His journey into property was sparked during a trip to Ghana after several years away. Witnessing the country's transformation the rise of new infrastructure, evolving skylines, and ambitious developments was a turning point. Inspired by the progress, Kojo felt a calling to be part of the movement, to build something that would stand the test of time. For him, property development is more than just business; it’s about shaping communities, creating a legacy, and contributing to Ghana’s evolving landscape for both its citizens and visitors.

Kojo’s path has been guided by industry professionals who have achieved milestones he aspires to reach. Their mentorship has provided him with invaluable insights how to navigate the industry, the dos and don’ts of scaling a real estate business, and the importance of connecting with the right people. From deal appraisal strategies to introductions to key professionals, these relationships have been instrumental in shaping his approach.

When asked to recommend a book or course that has impacted him, Kojo pointed to The Peebles Principles by Don Peebles. On the course side, he highlighted Commercial to Residential Conversions by Savoys Properties as particularly valuable. Beyond property, Kojo invests time in personal development, drawing wisdom from the Bible and sermons by influential figures like Pastor Tai Adeshugba, Apostle Joshua Selman, Myles Munroe, and more recently, Myron Golden, Ph.D. Staying ahead of industry trends is also a priority, and he does so by engaging with real estate podcasts.

Looking ahead, Kojo’s ambitions are bold. He envisions expanding KBR Global Properties internationally, leading landmark developments across multiple countries, and leaving a lasting imprint on Ghana’s infrastructure. He’s focused on building a high-performing team to drive his business forward and, ultimately, creating generational wealth not just for his family but for the communities he serves.

When asked what he’s currently seeking, Kojo was clear:

The right people to grow and build with.

Connections with individuals who share his passion for legacy-building.

Partnerships with those driven to make an impact and add value.

Kojo reflects on what he’s most proud of: “Starting a family and building a home.” A powerful sentiment from someone who isn’t just constructing buildings but laying the foundation for a legacy that will stand for generations. His journey so far has been remarkable, but for Kojo, this is just the beginning.
