Who we are
PeopleDem Property is a Black-led property development and networking platform committed to building generational wealth within African and Caribbean communities across the UK. Founded in the West Midlands, PeopleDem Property is more than a development firm it’s a movement. Our mission is to empower, represent, and uplift Black professionals and aspiring investors in the property sector.
Through vibrant networking events, we bring together experienced developers, mortgage brokers, financial advisors, and newcomers alike. These events foster an inclusive environment where knowledge is shared, partnerships are formed, and opportunities are created. Whether you're looking to invest, raise capital, or simply learn more about the industry, our events provide valuable insights and meaningful connections.
At PeopleDem Property, we believe in breaking down barriers and redefining success together. Join us in driving community development and building lasting impact through collaboration, education, and shared success.
The journey began in 2024, when Omari, inspired by years of personal growth and observation, launched PeopleDem Property by organizing events. His passion for property was ignited in childhood through watching shows like Grand Designs, A Place in the Sun, and Location, Location, Location. That spark grew into something deeper when he learned about his grandmother’s residential property investments in both the UK and Jamaica, drawing on her decades of wisdom.
After spending over five years studying business, networking, and gaining a strong foundation in land acquisition, finance, and economic cycles, Omari saw a gap in the property networking space. He explains:
“I started because I was going to a lot of property networking events Birmingham, Sheffield, London, York and I didn’t see many people who looked like me. So I decided to be the change I wanted to see in the world. I built a space a community where we could support one another, do business together, and share in mutual success in the world of property.”
The initial vision for PeopleDem was to create a thriving circular economy for people of African and Caribbean heritage. Homes for the community, funded by the community, and built by the community. Omari’s vision is global, and he’s committed to dedicating his life to making it a reality.
