This October, in honour of Black History Month, we’re celebrating 31 Black professionals in property. Today we’re celebrating Kim Opszala.

 

Kim is a multiple award-winning lawyer and an experienced non-executive director, with a background as a committee chair specializing in mergers and acquisitions. With over 10 years of post-qualification legal experience, Kim boasts extensive cross-border expertise and a proven track record of delivering large transactions. She has advised a diverse array of businesses, from UK and international listed companies like Lloyds Banking Group Bank and Travis Perkins plc to multinational corporations such as Aveva PLC, as well as SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

 

Kim has over 7 years of experience as a non-executive director for not-for-profit organizations. She is a key committee member with expertise in governance, strategy, and stakeholder engagement. As the ambitious and passionate co-founder of KoMo Properties, Kim is dedicated to repurposing obsolete housing stock to create unique homes for working professionals and students across the West Midlands, Buckinghamshire, and Northamptonshire. KoMo Properties is renowned for its innovative interior design and unrivaled customer service.

 

Kim excels in building strong relationships quickly and applying her commercial and legal judgment to make pragmatic decisions.
