Tao Yang
At PeopleDem property we believe in celebrating our community by spotlighting black excellence in property. Today we are celebrating Tao Yang.
Tao is the Founder of Prop AnalytiX, a Property Investment Analyst at Parchment Properties, and a Student Success Coach at Educate Property. She is passionate about growth and is constantly engaged in networking groups focused on personal development, financial literacy, property, and her faith. Guided by Christian principles, she strives to infuse integrity, service, and purpose into both her professional and personal endeavours. Prop AnalytiX supports Airbnb professionals with deal analysis through their Airbnb analyser, live calls, and AI solutions.
Tao’s journey to becoming a PropTech founder has taken many twists and turns. Her career path includes being a Law Graduate, Self-Employment Advisor, Employment Advisor on the Restart scheme, and Customer Trading Manager in retail roles that sharpened her analytical, advisory, and leadership skills. In 2022, she took a leap and launched Parchment Properties with her mother. Parchment Properties supports Serviced Accommodation investors and professionals with investment opportunities, research, due diligence, reports, and tailored packages. Working as a property investment analyst deepened Tao’s passion for property.
When asked what inspired this business, their shared motivation seeing so many people in their network take on deals that cost them thousands. They needed to find a solution to their networks problems, especially because Tao had taken the time to fully understand the market and its processes. As for why she entered property altogether, she explained “Opportunity for healthy cash flow, personal and professional development, great opportunities for networking, an industry you can be yourself and create your own lane, no ceilings, potential to build wealth.”
While building Parchment Properties, Tao recognised the rising opportunity in AI and knew she needed to act. Everything she had learned across her previous roles and her property work aligned with emerging technology, and she saw a gap in the market. She realised she could do something big, something that would help many people and scale her impact. That vision became Prop AnalytiX, an AI-powered PropTech company designed to transform the analytical side of Serviced Accommodation. This platform aims to redefine how global investors navigate the £110B short-term rental market. One of Tao’s proudest achievements is staying consistent long enough to bring the analyser to market despite countless setbacks during the development and pre-launch phases. As she said, “Starting a software company, out of purpose and passion.”
Beyond Prop AnalytiX, Tao co-hosts events with Unique Wilkinson and Susan Parchment, where property peers exchange expertise, form partnerships, and explore JV opportunities. The event received national recognition, earning a nomination for Property Networking Event of the Year. In her role as an International Airbnb Student Success Coach at Educate Property, she also supports and guides students as they build their Airbnb businesses from the ground up.
Despite achieving so much at a young age, Tao is determined to do even more. She explained, “At AnalytiX we are striving towards changing how Airbnb is conducted internationally.” She advocates for more precise methods, such as their three-tiered ADR system and month-by-month occupancy variation forecasting, allowing deals to be assessed based on realistic market fluctuations. In ten years, she aims to have the leading position in the niche of Airbnb analysis widely recognised for industry impact, personal influence, and excellence while also building her own healthy property portfolio and continuously improving their software, products, and services.
To make these goals a reality, Tao is seeking partnerships with Airbnb coaches who want to provide their mentees with thorough, accurate, and reliable deal analysis.
One thing I learned from Tao is how vital her faith has been throughout her journey. When asked to share a book or course she found valuable, she said, “The Bible. Most valuable as it provides guidance on how your character and morals should be, encourages hard work, instructs on how to make money, how to keep money, keys to building wealth, how to deal with losses, how to develop personally. Provides stories and testimonies relatable to help you on your journey.”
We are excited to see where Tao’s journey leads. She is still at the beginning, yet she has already reached heights many only dream of building her own tech company, creating opportunities for her family, and developing spaces where others can grow.
