Ric is the Founder and CEO of Tristan Capital Partners and the Founder of The Black Heart Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to underprivileged young people. Recognized as one of the most visionary and accomplished professionals in international real estate investment management, Ric serves as Senior Portfolio Manager at Tristan, where he leads the firm’s overall strategy and execution. With over 25 years of experience and a track record of investment success, he holds key roles as Chairman of the Investment Committee, Chief Investment Officer, and Founding Partner of Tristan Capital Partners.
Born and raised just outside Boston, Ric earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College before completing an MBA at Harvard Business School. After relocating to Europe, he became the Chief Investment Officer at AEW Europe, a leading pan-European real estate investment management firm. He later founded and served as CEO of Curzon Global Partners, a division of AEW. In 2009, Ric launched Tristan Capital Partners, building it into one of Europe’s most respected real estate investment managers.
Tristan Capital Partners specializes in value-added investment strategies across the UK and mainland Europe, with funds spanning Core-plus, opportunistic, and debt strategies. The firm manages more than €15 billion in assets and continues to be a leader in the industry.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Ric is deeply committed to educational and economic empowerment. Through The Black Heart Foundation, he has provided life-changing opportunities for countless young people by improving access to education. He also champions Black entrepreneurship as Emeritus Chair of Impact X Capital Partners LLP, investing in Black-owned startups to drive innovation and economic growth.
