Faith Locken

At PeopleDem property we believe in celebrating our community by spotlighting black excellence in property. Today we are celebrating Faith Locken.

Faith founded Rise Members' Club (Rise), the UK’s first Black-led inclusive members’ club for professionals, entrepreneurs and creatives. Rise is not just a physical space, it’s a movement, a community where real connection, opportunity and growth happen.

Living in Uk council housing as a refugee from Uganda, she experienced what poor housing can do to a person’s sense of dignity and opportunity. That inspired her to want better, not just for herself, but for others. She saw the power of property as a vehicle for both good and generational wealth. For her family, owning their home was a turning point; it helped lay the foundation for current and future generations to come. Property is more than buildings; it’s about people, stability and opportunity.

At university Faith met a friend’s dad who worked in property. At a time when she didn’t know anyone in the sector, he helped Faith navigate the graduate recruitment process. His support was pivotal. This shows how much of a difference access and advocacy can make, especially when you’re breaking into spaces where you’re the first or one of few.

We asked Faith about her proudest moment, and she said: “Starting my own business and community from scratch and growing it to over 2,000 members in just three years. Launching Rise Members Club has been one of my proudest moments. To see the response from our community, people finally feeling seen, heard, and valued, has been incredibly humbling. It’s a powerful reminder that when you build with purpose, people show up.”

Faith is laser-focused on building Rise into a globally recognised brand that unites the diaspora, digitally and physically, creating the spaces we’ve always deserved to grow, connect, and thrive. She wants Rise to be the go-to hub for growth, visibility, and collaboration whether you're scaling a business, building your career, or growing your personal brand.

She envisions a future where communities especially Black and mixed-heritage collectively own commercial real estate. She dreams of Rise locations in global cities, serving as cultural and professional hubs for the diaspora. She’s committed to using her voice and influence to challenge the status quo and shape inclusive housing and business policy.

Faith is calling on those who share her vision of inclusion and community wealth-building to join her. Rise is raising capital to scale and is actively seeking both investors and Founding Members. If you’re an investor passionate about impact, inclusion, and generational wealth, connect with her on LinkedIn. If you’d thrive in a space like Rise, apply to become a Founding Member. With only 100 spots available, they’re looking for trailblazers ready to build something extraordinary from the ground up.
