Alfred Dzadey
This October, in honour of Black History Month, we’re celebrating 31 Black professionals in property. Today we’re celebrating Alfred Dzadey.
Alfred is a multi-award-winning property investor, entrepreneur, and SME investor with a background as a contracting Project Manager. As the Founder and Director of Real Property Ventures, a UK-based company specializing in affordable, high-spec co-living accommodation, Alfred has received several accolades, including New Property Investor of the Year 2021 at the Property Investor Awards and Best Entrepreneur in Real Estate at the 2022 Stevie Awards. He was also a finalist for the 2022 Great British Entrepreneur Awards in the Young Entrepreneur of the Year category in the West Midlands region. Alfred is expanding into the mergers and acquisitions space and is actively seeking profitable businesses with revenues of £5 million plus to acquire.
Alfred scaled a HMO portfolio from scratch using other people’s money. Before becoming a property investor, Alfred's background was in engineering. He graduated and landed a contracted job as a project manager. Seeing people he knew earn 60k per month, he decided not to wait. Although he loved his job, the company, and the people, Alfred wanted more out of life. He saw property as an investment vehicle and got educated in it. Wanting ownership and high cash flow, he chose the HMO strategy.
His properties stand out because they are luxury properties aimed at young professionals and sometimes students. The rooms come with smart TVs and feel homely, attracting the right level of tenants. Alfred avoids smaller rooms, preferring high ceilings and spacious rooms because the market is moving towards higher-end properties. Today’s tenants expect en-suites and TVs in their rooms, ensuring sustainability for his business.
We are excited to see where Alfred’s journey will take him in both the property and business space.
